I recently discussed challenges that China faces as it seeks to continue its economic growth including: (1) Wealth inequality, where a small percent of Chinese are amassing tremendous riches while the vast majority struggle. In manufacturing, Chinese factory owners are exploring outsourcing options while their factory workers fight for fair wages and working conditions. (2) Inequality of opportunity where the politically connected princelings reap millions from their contacts while many college graduates are left unemployed. (3) Population challenges including China 's aging population (with their greater need for social and health services) and declining support ratio. These concerns have ignited the Chinese government to address inequality while planning for the upcoming issues associated with the changing demographics.

What to do when "No" mean "Yes" for your child?

 "NO" is a magic word that most parents are using and hope that it will stop unwanted behaviors from their children.Apparently it is not working as they expected because one of our human qualities is curiosity. As a child everything is new to him. He has to learn an object from his perception senses. He wants to know whether this object is edible or entertaining. "Will it make noise when I touch it?" "It has a nice color. It might taste good too!" These kinds of thoughts go through his mind all the time to drive his actions to explore the world.

Studies have shown that music has effect on human emotions (see references below). There is no question about that. The question is more about what kind of music or how early it should be. For my own experience, I let my wife choose her favorite kind of music (relaxing, spa-type) and as early as it could be and it turned out with a great result.
